8th Annual Salt Spring Lavender Festival
July 4, 2010 10 am to 5 pm at Sacred Mountain Lavender

Join us for a fun filled sensory experience to remember.  Allow the aromatic scent of lavender to waft over you as you explore all the different ways in which lavender can enhance your life.  Taste lavender in the wonderful foods and drinks available, touch lavender at the  craft table, see the carpet of purples and listen to the symphony of bees who love lavender.

Peruse the numerous stands of local artisans, events and lavender-related demonstrations. Below is the line-up for the for 2010's program:

• Tuscan flavoured, lavender infused lunches including vegetarian selections will be prepared and served by Mateo Hermani.  Matteo will also be giving two talks on the wonders of cooking with lavender.
  
• The Lavender Café will be offering our new Lavender Coffee, or regular coffee for traditional folks, lavender flavoured gelattos, tasty bites  and lavender lemonade.
  
• Healings of many persuasions will be available in the lavender fields -  Angel Readings with Jane Barter, Palm and Energy readings with Joanne Stuart, Tarot Readings with Denise Richard, Shiatsu massage with Seamus Robertson.
  
• This Year's Entertainment Feature  will be Live Music performed by our own Salt Spring group  "Wallabee Indeed" a truly amazing and unusual fusion -  listen to it at Wallabeeindeed.
  
• Our Guest Speaker this year is Salt Spring's own Dan Jason, pioneer of organic food growing and seed saving, author of more than a dozen books on organic gardening and cooking, including his latest book ,"Seed Saving as if Our Lives Depended on It."
  
• Also, demonstrations of  lavender propagation and distillation, and viewing of our over 60 varieties in our demonstration beds.
  
• U-pick lavender.
  
• Newly renovated and enlarged store where we will be introducing our new culinary items, exotic teas, honey and gift ware.
  
• Fresh Oyster available on site, by Holliewood Oysters of Fanny Bay .. small succulent and sweet.

Entry fee Adults $5.00 (includes entry for door prize & HST!) - CHILDREN 12 and under FREE 

Sacred Mountain Lavender is located at 401 Musgrave Road near Fulford Harbour. For directions, go to the Salt Spring Island Studio Tour website and download a map. We are location number 1 marked with the sign of the sheep and a number 1, or simply follow the signs to Sacred Mountain Lavender.
